Privacy notice

Who is responsible

This website is run by Vadym Pakhomov, a private individual based in Prague, Czech Republic. You can contact me at vadym.pakhomov@arkival.eu.

What this website records

When you visit a page of this website, it records the time of the visit, your country, the family of your operating system and the family of your browser. It never stores the full browser identification string.

When you type a command in the terminal, it records the time, your country and the name of the command, but only if it is one of this website's commands. Anything else is recorded just as "unknown"; what you type is otherwise not stored.

Records made before this notice was published may still contain the first word typed for commands this website does not have; they are deleted on the same schedule as all other records.

Recognised automated traffic (bots) is not recorded.

IP address

Your IP address is used briefly in memory to look up your country (locally, without any third party), to limit abuse (rate limiting) and to protect the administration area. The IP address itself is not stored.

Failed sign-in attempts to the administration area store a keyed hash of the IP address; these entries are deleted automatically about 15 minutes later.

Cookies and storage

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser for visitors. Only the site administrator receives one strictly necessary sign-in cookie. Fonts are served by this website itself; it uses no third-party services, ads or trackers.

Why this is done (legal basis)

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in understanding how this website is used and in keeping it secure.

How long records are kept

Visit and command records are deleted automatically once they are 730 days (2 years) old.

Recipients

This website does not share these records with anyone and does not transfer them outside the EU.

If you email me

If you write to me, I use your email address and message only to reply to you.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and objection (Art. 15-18 and 21 GDPR). This website makes no automated decisions about you. To exercise your rights, write to vadym.pakhomov@arkival.eu.

Complaints

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, www.uoou.cz.
